In this project, I developed a VR turbojet engine simulation from scratch to improving the efficacy of propulsion and engine cycle teaching. This project was supervised by Dr. James Young, a professor in the Department of MANE (Mechanical, Aerospace, and Nuclear Engineering) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. During the development, I constructed the VR scene and user interaction mechanisms using Unity3D, Blender, and C#. Then, I used MATLAB to find the curve-fit of the mathematical model that can simulate the mechanics of the turbojet engine. Finally, I merged the curve-fit model and the VR environment to a compiled, single-package software.
